About the Practice

Founded on the ethical demands of psychoanalysis and guided by the attention paid to all that cannot unite us without making us unique, the practice proposed here dedicates complete listening to the individual. This space of expression provides an occasion to question one's life in order to build a concrete and lasting improvement in one's conditions of existence.

Journey and Mission

Psychoanalyst born in Bogotá, I completed my higher education in France. In my practice, individuals benefit from unwavering listening and, through speech, pay tribute to the complexities of their intimate life.

Focused on Freudian, Reichian, and Lacanian currents, my doctoral thesis brings classical psychoanalytic theory into contact with the latest trends in anthropology and gender studies. In the 21st century, this research informs a major thetic demand: questioning one's own place in the socius to construct a way out, in the midst of a world besieged by the threat of wars, the climate crisis, the drift of meaning, and mass media saturation, among others.

A writer in my spare time, my clinical approach is also enriched by literature and cinema, drawing material from the analysis of myths and the encounter with the other.

Analytical Approach

The psychoanalytic practice, located in downtown Montpellier, creates a space for anyone wishing to find the means to understand their situation.

The session is structured sometimes around a phrase, sometimes a memory; it draws upon the stream of consciousness in order to elevate the subject and clarify their internal conflicts. The consultation time stands apart from the demands of daily life; it is a moment to look inward in a safe place, centered around the questions that preoccupy you, the thoughts that haunt you, and, ultimately, the feeling that your life could be much more fulfilling.

Mine is a non-medicalized approach: I offer neither a diagnosis, as practiced in psychiatry, nor an evaluation, as used in psychology and the latest variants of behaviorism, including CBT. Anyone who comes to my practice already knows they possess all the cognitive faculties and personal assets that, with my guidance, will lead to a substantial and concrete improvement in their living conditions.
